Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems that are associated with important changes in the political and socio-economic spheres of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and occurred during the period of perestroika. In fact, the article examines the prerequisites for the Chechen conflict that broke out in the early 1990s. The reasons for the creation of national public organizations are analyzed, as well as the connection between the economic problems of the republic and the coming to power of radical politicians is presented.
