Abstract

Home teaching materials generated in the social culture play an important part in the socialization of children's gender roles. They not only transmit to children the gender biases and role stereotypes that exist in the social culture, but also reproduce and consolidate these stereotypes and rationalize the gender biases in society. Family teaching materials must be reformed so that children may receive equitable gender education.
