Abstract
If you are reading these words, chances are high that you are either a social worker yourself or have many of them in your network of friends, family, and colleagues. This means you are familiar with the challenges and demands as well as the rewards and joy the profession involves. What better time than social work month to acknowledge some of the contributions social workers make in our lives and communities? In the United States, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) designates March of each year as social work month.
