Abstract
농촌지역 사회복지는 농촌지역의 특징인 소규모 지역사회에서의 삶의 형태와 인간관계를 고려하여 도시와는 다른 사회복지서비스가 고려되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 농촌지역 사회복지의 실천사례로서 전라남도 영광군의 여민동락공동체를 소개하고 최근 사회복지에 대두되고 있는 사회생태주의 관점에서 여민동락공동체에 대한 분석을 시도하였다. 사회생태주의가 추구하는 사회복지는 제도의존적인 사회복지가 아니라 지속가능한 발전, 비공식적인 상호부조의 이웃관계 회복, 생태계의 다양한 구성요소들이 상호 협력하는 공생관계, 다양성을 존중하는 탈지배적 상호의존관계의 지역사회와 공동체 건설을 추구하고 있다. 여민동락공동체는 이러한 사회생태주의의 특성을 반영한 농촌지역 사회복지 실천의 사례라고 할 수 있다.
