Abstract

The central idea of this chapter is to explore the dynamics of caste in deciding the educational accessibility of the children with disability of Dalit community. The inclusive education seeks to address the learning needs of all children with a specific focus on those who are vulnerable to marginalization and exclusion. At the core of inclusive education is the fundamental right to education for all. The over-all goal of inclusive education is an equal treatment to all children in the school irrespective of social and economic background. The review of the literature and theoretical framework in this article provides key views related to social welfare provision for disabled children, common factors that prevent the children with disability of Dalit community during schooling, various factors that decrease the accessibility of a child with disability of Dalit community and theories of social inclusion and social justice.
