Abstract

The primary objective of this paper is to contribute to the existing literatures by comprehensively reviewing the definitions, concept, as well as the importance of social technology in the social innovations world. This review covers various definitions of technology and innovation, multi dimensions of social technology and how its acts to boost and generate a good social innovation. especially Within the contemporary climate of chaotic socio-economic change and institutional crisis, where increasing attention is being paid to experiences of social innovation Many forms of technology cycle models have been developed and utilized to identify new/convergent technologies and forecast social changes. This paper uses Gartner Group’s Hype Cycle as an analysis tool to understand the impact and role of the social technology in the creation and the development of social innovation.
