Abstract

Social skills training (SST) has become one of the popular models of therapy. Based on Trower, Bryant and Argyle's (1978) SST approach, a SST group project was implemented in a male halfway house in Hong Kong. This report sums up the SST group project's theoretical framework, design and methods, and assesses the attainment of objectives according to findings of the project. The practice implications of SST to social rehabilitation of ex-mental patients in the Hong Kong context are also discussed.
