Richard V. Burkhauser, Ph.D., Professor ofEconomics, is Associate Director for the AgingStudies Program, Center for Policy Research, andDirector of the All-University Gerontology Center.He is also principal investigator for an NIA-fundedstudy of the well-being of the elderly in acomparative context.Timothy M. Smeeding, Ph.D., Professor ofEconomics and Public Administration, is Directorof the Center for Policy Research.
