Abstract
This chapter analyses two important linkages, the first being social security and decent work and the second between social dialogue and decent work. The chapter is based on the primary survey undertaken by the authors to find the social security provisions in IT industry and discusses the results of social security index in the first half of the chapter. The second half of the chapter is based on the findings of the status of social dialogue in IT industry as it is void of trade unions and formal mechanisms of dialogue between workers and the employers.
