Abstract

This chapter discusses the main recent cases of diffusion of social policies in Latin America. In the region, it is possible to find social policies focused on poverty reduction - Conditional Cash Transfer programs (CCT´s) - hunger eradication, healthcare and social participation - Participatory Budgeting. These experiences were not only flowing between Latin American countries, but they were also spilling over and being transferred to other regions and countries in the south. Consequently, the chapter develops a discussion about those cases, looking to describe them and to discuss the contributions of the research. A second objective of the chapter proposes a discussion about the emerging questions and challenges from these experiences.
