Abstract

PURPOSE: To investigate the correlation between social media exposure and aggressive behaviour in adolescents and assess the subsequent impact on parent’s mental health for informed intervention. DESIGN / METHODOLOGY: Utilizing a mixed methods approach this study will make use of journals magazines , reference books, qualitatively to assess social media usage patterns and aggressive behaviour in a diverse adolescent population. Concurrently secondary sources of data were used in the study which will provide in depth insight into the perceived impact on mental health of parents.
