Abstract

This article focuses on improving the social skills of infants from 3 to 4 years old in their in-corporation to the second cycle of early childhood education, especially in those areas where prior schooling is scarce, with the aim of developing social skills and improve the atmosphere of coexistence, within the classroom and also with different agents of the educational community. Cooperative learning, gamification and the works of the artist Kandinsky are used to achieve this objective, designing different activities of expression, cooperation, group cohesion and reflec-tion. Along these lines, the project proposes three axes: (1) Proposals for artistic expression and the promotion of creativity, (2) Cooperative games and group dynamics, and (3) Reflection and debate activities. Previous studies link the improvement of social and emotional skills with art-based programs; art, in addition to being a language in itself, is a key tool in the early childhood education, where it is considered a way of expression, creativity, respect, the strengthening of self-esteem and self-knowledge. The design of art-based programs can also enhance cooperation, improve quality interactions between infants and other agents, as well as the acquisition and improvement of skills, in this case, social ones.
