Abstract

Dr. Gail Christopher was the keynote speaker for the 2006 Regional Health Disparities Symposium organized by the University of South Alabama Center for Healthy Communities. At the time of the talk Dr. Christopher was Vice President of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies and Director of that Center’s Health Policy Institute. The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that conducts research and analysis on public policy issues of concern to African Americans and other ethnic minorities.
