Abstract
This chapter explores cultural competence in supervision as it is described in the literature as well as through anecdotal evidence. Specifically, we focus on cross-cultural supervision between Western supervisors and supervisees from East Asia. Some of the most important mediating variables, including the supervisory working alliance and supervisors’ interest in culture, are highlighted.
