Social Consumption Funds and Living Standards of the Population

Abstract

Equalizing the economic living conditions of the population, i.e., the totality of economic factors which determine the living standards, is a pattern in the building of communism. This leveling process begins with the proletarian revolution and ends with the transition to the higher stage of communism. It is based on the growth of productive forces, on the development and improvement of the material-technical base for planned social production and of the entire system of production relations in a socialist society. Distribution relations, particularly those linked with the use of social consumption funds, play a major role in the equalization of living conditions.
