Abstract
This commentary on the special issue of the Counselling Psychology Quarterly devoted to social constructionism and counselling focuses on two critical themes running through the various contributions to the special issue–the Feminist critique and the multicultural critique. A critical appraisal of contemporary social constructionist epistemology is also offered.
