Abstract
The problems of children affect the whole society as well, since the development of all humankind depends on their development, therefore, these problems should be solved by society and the state. It is necessary to provide social assistance to children, both as a solution to certain problems, and for the general stimulation of their development as a preventive measure in order to ensure stable social development and the potential of a healthy society as a whole. The purpose of the work: to study the problems that arise in the provision of social assistance to children and their families in Russia, the experience of social work in providing such assistance and supporting children.
