Abstract

Although controversial, the concept of intellectual intuition is central and basic to the doctrine of science, delimiting both its notion of subjectivity and commenting on that of rationality. The aim of this article is to understand the concept of intellectual intuition as consciousness of freedom, as established by Fichte in the later Jena exposition of the doctrine of science. Our thesis is that the doctrine of intersubjectivity plays a fundamental role in its constitution.
