Abstract

Abstract There are problems that are common to all levels of the hospital hierarchy. This article deals with just one of these. It is a problem that is not discussed very often, but occurs all too frequently. It can hamper productivity and severely lower morale. But it can also be identified and solved if you're an administrator with years of experience or a nurse dedicated to patient care, or even an individual just entering the health care workforce. You may want to base one of your periodic training sessions on this article. You could tack it on your bulletin board, or you could simply deal with those persons who are affected. In any case, we would suggest that the problem not be ignored.
