Abstract

Diagnosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) at an early age has become a challenging trend for oncology worldwide, besides increased mortality in this population has emerged over the last decade. Several features of bad prognosis as an anatomic subsite, stage at diagnosis, race, and ethnicity have been studied for young adults (< 30 years old) with CRC. Nevertheless, their correlation to a bad prognosis remains unclear. This study aimed to describe the clinicopathological features and their impact on the overall survival of young Mexican adults diagnosed with CRC treated in the National Cancer Institute.
