Sneddon Syndrome Presenting With Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract

Sneddon syndrome is a rare disorder, that is characterized by livedo reticularis and multiple ischemic cerebral infarcts. It is accepted as a variant of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. Intracerebral, subarachnoid, and intraventricular hemorrhages have rarely been reported. We reported a female diagnosed as Sneddon syndrome with the clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic findings who presented with intracerebral hemorrhage. The brain computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging of the case, digital arterial biopsy convenient with vasculopathy, showed hemorrhage extending into the ventricle, focal hemorrhage areas in the right centrum semiovale and parietal cortical localization, cerebral and cerebellar acute-subacute infarcts. Angiography revealed stenosis in the A1 segment of the right anterior cerebral artery. It must be considered in unusual intracranial hemorrhage.
