Abstract

DC‐DC converter is one kind of basic power electronic converters. If the continuous conduction mode (CCM) of inductor current is regarded as the normal operation of DC‐DC converters, then the other phenomena except CCM will be considered as sneak circuits of DC‐DC converters, for example the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). This chapter studies the sneak circuit phenomena existing in several non‐isolated DC‐DC converters, such as Buck, Boost, Buck‐Boost, Cuk, Sepic and Zeta converter from a new point of view, and provides the appearing condition of sneak circuit in different DC‐DC converters, which will help to understand the characteristics of DC‐DC converters better.
