Abstract

Abstract—A new case of cardio-facio-cutaneous syndrome is reported, with particular reference to the presence of typical lesions of acanthosis nigricans in the axillae. The patient is a 17-year-old male presenting general features of mild mental retardation, anomalies in the craniofacial phenotype and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. At the cutaneous level, he presented disseminated follicular hyperkeratosis with cicatricial alopecia in the eyebrows, multiple pigmented nevi, acanthosis nigricans in the axillae and curly hair.
