Abstract
I present a series of spectra of the Type II supernova SN 2023ixf in M101 covering a temporal period of 6 weeks. The latest spectra show a prominent Hα P-Cygni profile with an expansion velocity of 7100 km s−1. In addition to an expanding gas shell, evidence of a possible additional absorption was found. This could be interpreted as an asymmetrical feature in the expanding material of the supernova.
