Abstract
Smoking and the Lung , coedited by G. Cumming and G. Bonsignore, is a collection of 24 reports on the health effects of cigarette smoking presented at the Seventh Course of the International School of Thoracic Medicine, held in October 1983. The papers were presented in a symposium format, and each presentation, with figures and tables, is the basis for a separate chapter of the book. Following each chapter is the edited discussion that transpired between the presenter and other members of the symposium. An index to the volume is also included.
