Abstract
Man's first catalog of the stars as they appear in ultraviolet light will soon be published by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. The catalog is based on more than 8000 ultraviolet television pictures of the heavens taken by Project Celescope, the Smithsonian experiment aboard the Orbiting Astronomical Observatory (OAO‐2) launched by NASA December 7, 1968.
