Smith is a manufacturer of electric motors and water heating equipment serving residential, commercial and industrial end markets primarily in the United States. The Electric Products segment manufactures hermetic motors, fractional horsepower alternating current and direct current motors, and integral horsepower motors. The Water Systems segment manufactures and markets a line of residential gas and electric water heaters, standard and specialty commercial water heating equipment, high‐efficiency copper‐tube boilers, and water systems tanks. Co. operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Hungary, the Netherlands and China.
