Abstract

This study examines the application of smart manufacturing in SMEs in South Sulawesi by looking at the dimensions of the organization and the non-market strategy approach. Qualitative research design uses case study analysis using the perspective of empirical phenomena in a particular context. The findings show that (1) smart manufacturing in SMEs provides solutions in the production process, namely cutting processes so that effectiveness and efficiency can be achieved (in SMEs that have good financial stability). However, if UKM does not have a good financial position, it will pose a risk to the rate of return on investment., (2) Government support in supporting smart manufacturing through industrial ministries and (3) non-market strategic approach is not a problem as long as it is managed with professionalism. Limitations Research the number of cases empirically is still limited according to the geographical area under study.
