Abstract

If people, including teens, rely on their phone to tell them if they're safe to drive based on their blood alcohol content (BAC), they may be wrong, a recent study has found. The accuracy of smartphone‐paired devices varies widely, and while some are suitable for both clinical and research purposes, others underestimate the BAC, which creates the potential to mislead intoxicated users.
