Abstract

In this paper, we proposed a novel locally semi-stand alone Smart Virtual evolved Base Station (SVeNB), for 5G mobile communication. Where some functions of system Evolved Packet System (EPS) elements can be done with SVeNB. According to the type of function or service and the device, which is used to fulfil that function or service. These elements can be virtualized and programmed in one Virtual Machine (VM) or more to achieve those functions and services. Our proposal gives SVeNB more sharing with baseband unit (BBU) pool and Core Network (CN), even in making decisions through its vision about its users. This will lead to reducing the burden on BBU pool, CN, decrease the latency and increase the data rate requested by users. i.e., the SVeNB can locally make the decision about all of its permanent local subscribers to connect to each other or to the internet. SVeNB performance exceeds the C-RAN with 68% in user profiles treatment. The end to end delay is reduced by SVeNB to 62%.
