Abstract

Considering the main objectives of the French National Project « Ville 10D », we have developed a composite constructive process that permits us to fit out unexploited urban zones, such as the “sub-slab” part of a business district. For working conditions specific to rehabilitation and for safety and security conditions to be respected for end users, we propose to validate the application of textile reinforced cement for use in the external faces of sandwich panels design. In the first part, we present the different methods of characterization for mechanical properties and we introduce the main data for the service limit state and ultimate state design considering both normal and accidental conditions (fire conditions). Then we consider different steps of structural design in the case of sandwich panels submitted to flexural loading conditions. Finally, we explain how the use of textile grid for reinforcement is adapted to the integration of hybrid fibers (optical fibers) or additional sensors that generate multifunctional properties such as lightening, connecting, temperature control and air quality…
