Abstract
The objective of this study was to design a smart remote-controller combining with speech-recognition and self-learning function Module and blue-tooth wireless sensor network to become part of the intelligent system to control all home appliances in the smart living space. The system was constructed with two parts: (1) a remote control mechanism with Bluetooth (BT) module mounting on controller module (remote controller) and slave receiver module (on every home appliance), and (2) a remote controller with speech-recognition and function of self-learning human voice with speech-recognition microprocessor so that people could directly give voice commands to control appliances. Therefore, the technique of BT communication and speech-recognition microprocessor became the most important in this study. After implementing finished projects, the whole system was proved to be highly successful.
