Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) system proposed in this research is the answer for the temperature and humidity monitoring in the storage area at Company X, a composite panel manufacturing industry for airplane wing parts. The raw materials used to produce composite panels are very sensitive to surrounding temperature and humidity. The temperature and humidity information are sent over the web through the cloud-based stage and sending ready messages when the parameters are out of the range. The Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) based checking is used which comprises of DHT11 sensor for temperature and humidity detection and ESP32 WiFi module to send information into the IoT application stage. The information will be shown on the server and wifi module will send ready messages to the engineer or individual in charge of it. The alert signal and andon light at the stirage area will be activated and alert system will be sent ot to the engineer simultaneously when the humidity or temperature is out of the control limit. The main objective of this task is to design a programmed temperature and humidity ready framework at the storage area by using Arduino ESP 32 with a purpose to improve the present ready alert system utilized at the organization. This programmed temperature and humidity alert system has been located at the storage area in Company X and the data gathered by this system has been correlated to the current Honeywell Circular Chart temperature and humidity recorder data. Finally, this IoT approach system could improve the real time temperature and humidity monitoring and alert system at the storage area of composite’s raw materials. Consequently, it will improve the composite panel quality produced in Company X.
