Abstract

Lithium-ion batteries have been widely utilized as secondary batteries (rechargeable batteries) due to the offered advantages. Charging voltage and current are calculated with Ohmic Drop Compensation (ODC) method. ODC is further utilized to compensate for the resistance value during the charging process. The following experiment is conducted to verify the proposed method. Battery charging is later tested, with the three different power levels of., 0%, 50 %, and 80%. Based on experimental results, the deviation values are 0.040818, 0.00333, and 0.0087 respectively. Since the amount of deviation scales in accordance with battery power levels, this proposed design is recommended as a smart charging method for Lithium-ion batteries.
