Abstract

This paper focuses on the stability analysis of a wind farm integrated into a large-scale power grid. Considering the impact of the interaction between grid and wind farm on the system stability, a large-scale power grid model based on actual data and a wind farm model including electromagnetic transient are built in DIgSILENT PowerFactory. The small-signal analysis method is applied to study this system and find the possible stability influencing factors, which are the input wind speed and control parameters of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). Simulation results show that the access of wind farm and changes in wind speed or control parameters under weak grid will affect the system stability.
