Abstract
DR. BARRETT KIELHORN (Charlevoix, Michigan): You developed quite a wealth of knowledge on GIST and presented multiple papers regarding the management of GIST. This is a thoughtful presentation and well-founded study based on NCD, National Cancer Database, analysis on small GIST tumors and their management. The presented data suggests expectant management can be considered in those patients with small, low-grade GISTs without atypical or high features, however, I caution major frameshift changes in care based on retrospective analysis of a somewhat limited database.
