Abstract

We present the results of experiments on reception of the Sura facility signals in the 9-MHz range using the WIND spacecraft. The technique of determining the temporal spectrum of the Earth’s magnetosheath plasma irregularities with less than 100-km scales based on the radio scintillation spectrum in terms of the weak scattering theory is proposed and implemented. Using the in situ measurements of the electron number density onboard spacecraft with a temporal resolution of about 3 s, it has been found that the inner scale of the magnetosheath turbulence varies within 10–90 km with a mean value of about 30 km.
