Abstract

Question: A 48-year-old female patient was admitted to our endoscopy unit for resection of a large (40-mm) duodenal adenoma (nongranular type laterally spreading adenoma; Paris classification type IIa) that was found on a routine esophagogastroduodenoscopy. The patient was asymptomatic with unremarkable blood tests and stable body weight. Colorectal polyps or other pathologies were excluded in an ileocolonoscopy.
