Abstract

The chemical and topological order of AgSi, AgGe and AlGe liquid alloys are investigated from the thermodynamic equations. On mixing, the component elements (Si, Ge, Al and Ag) undergo noticeable structural change. This suggests that AgSi is a segregating system, AlGe is chemically more ordered and AgGe undergoes inversion from order to segregation as a function of concentration.
