Abstract

The magnetoplastic effect induced in the beryllium bronze BrB-2 aged in magnetic fields of up to 1 T has been studied using the microhardness method. “Positive” and “negative” magnetoplastic effects have been shown to exist. The possibility of applying the small-angle polarized-neutron scattering method to the investigation of the effect of a magnetic field on the kinetics of phase formation in Cu-Be alloys has been analyzed. Models of the structure of possible scattering centers have been proposed.
