Abstract

The small angle neutron scattered intensity of aqueous solutions of 2-butoxyethanol and C3E6 (a nonionic surfactant) is presented. Their analysis shows the presence of spherical micelles and concentration fluctuations. The radius of the micelles corresponds to the length of the molecules of surfactant. The concentration fluctuations increase with temperature and are dominant when one approaches the demixtion curve.
