Abstract
A review of the literature on the evaluation of the acetabular and iliac angles in health and disease is presented. Small angles in two newly described conditions, “broad thumbs and great toes, facial abnormalities and mental retardation” syndrome and “congenital familial dwarfism with cephaloskeletal dysplasia,” are discussed. Narrow acetabular or iliac angles in some skeletal dysplasias and several other unrelated conditions are shown.
