Abstract

Scoliosis and pelvic obliquity are common in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). When conservative treatment is not sufficient, fusionless surgeries are advocated to avoid early definitive spine fusion and preserve trunk growth. They are however thought to be a transitory solution, before final fusion at term. To evaluate an original minimally invasive fusionless surgery in SMA scoliosis. We retrospectively reviewed data from 2011 to 2019 for all the children with early onset SMA scoliosis who underwent minimally invasive fusionless technique.
