Abstract

A novel trivalent samarium doped Ba2GdV3O11 nanophosphor series exhibiting cool white light conduct has been prepared via time efficient route of solution combustion for the first time. The morphological and elemental behavior is analyzed via transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. The values for radiative lifetime (=0.926 ms) and non-radiative rate (=29.611 s−1) and quantum efficiency (97%) are calculated that favor of Sm3+ doped Ba2GdV3O11 nanophosphor to be used as a white light emanating contender for WLEDs and lighting technology.
