Abstract
AbstractAll‐solid‐state lithium‐sulfur batteries are strongly considered as the most promising next‐generation electrochemical energy storage systems due to their high safety and energy density. However, in view of practical application, it is difficult to obtain large‐scale solid‐state sulfur cathode continuously. Herein we achieve the large‐scale fabrication of solid sulfur cathode by a facile slurry‐coating process through the screening of various solvents and binder contents. The composite cathodes in all‐solid‐state lithium‐sulfur pouch cells exhibit a high specific capacity of 1169 mAh g−1 and excellent cycling stability. Furthermore, a practical lithium‐sulfur pouch cell with an areal discharge capacity of up to 2.3 mAh cm−2 is also demonstrated. This work makes a leap towards the practical application of all‐solid‐state lithium‐sulfur batteries.
