Abstract

The underwater acoustic channel has the characteristics of limited available bandwidth and serious multipath fading. This paper uses orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) to solve this problem. As one of the core technologies of the MIMO system, space-time coding is implemented simultaneously in time and space to overcome spatial interference. On this basis, this paper proposes a precoding technique further to reduce the bit error rate of underwater acoustic communication.
