Abstract

The viscoelastic modules of complex organic media evolve slowly. Studying the dependence of a complex shear modulus on strain amplitude reveals logarithmic growth over time of the nonlinearity parameter of a raw oil sample. The linear reduction in the complex shear modulus upon an increase in the amplitude of shear perturbations is confirmed experimentally; this is possible when there is a linear dependence between the viscoelastic parameters of a sample and the strain modulus.
