Abstract

Considerable interest has been devoted in the past few years to the theoretical study of atomic processes proceeding in the presence of strong magnetic fields. The motivation for this interest derives mainly from the occurrence of such fields in the vicinity of white dwarf stars1,2, with estimated field strengths B ranging from 102 T to 105 T, and of neutron stars3,4, with B ranging between 107 T and 109 T.KeywordsMolecular OrbitalStrong Magnetic FieldWhite DwarfInternuclear DistanceTransfer ProbabilityThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
