Abstract

In this report, a nanoscale Cu(OH)2 bundle cluster structure is formed via a facile electrodeposition-oxidation strategy on CuZn metal surface. After the surface modification with dodecanethiol, the superhydrophobicity and superoleophilicity wettability is realized. By infusing the surface with oil phase, the slippery liquid-infused porous surface (SLIPS) turns out. Using scanning Kelvin probe technique, the as-formed surface is illustrated to perform good self-healing effect under the external mechanical damage. For countering the corrosion attack, the as-fabricated SLIPS is immersed in abiotic seawater and sulfate reduction bacteria medium, and it affords high inhibition to both abiotic and microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC) in seawater environment.
