Abstract

Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia is rare but in symptomatic cases thoroughly reduce quality of life and is challenging for treatment. Current paper presentstwo cases of vertebral dolichoectasia that cause neurovascular compression syndromes. In both cases vertebral artery transposition performed using sling-technique. The aim of the study – to demonstrate special features and efficiency of sling-technique for neurovascular conflicts caused by dolichoectasia presented.Surgical video demonstrating particular technique also performed. Additionally, literature data on epidemiology, symptoms and surgical interventions for neurovascular conflicts caused by dolichoectasia presented.
